Coalition for Enforcement of Civil Rights.
The First Nations Outreach Projects Civil Rights Division is
seeking your help.
We would like to develop a coalition of NGOs to develop an
enforcement and education program aimed at investigating criminal civil rights
violations against minority and lower income individuals.
Currently almost all civil rights organizations are focused
on civil aspects of violations of The Fair Housing Act or the Americans With Disabilities
Act. Both of these areas are very important, however there are several other
areas which are just as important if not more so.
Civil Law application of Civil Rights violations can be very
costly and very timely. Civil Remedies are often times not timely enough to
stop the violations from causing damage, but are rather designed for
intercession after the damage has been done.
After an in-depth study on civil rights violations there are
several areas which are critical to minority and low income people.
These are, due process of law violations, individual rights
violations, freedom of speech violations, voter rights violations, and others.
We characterize these as;
Police
and official misconduct.
- The unnecessary
use of force
- The
unnecessary use of deadly force
- Ineffective
assistance of council in criminal cases
- Trial
level denial of due process of law
- Racial
and social profiling.
The first step in eradication of these problems is investigations
of civil right allegations.
Step two is community level education on civil rights and
how they are applied and enforced.
We need other NGO’s and individual who are interested in
these areas to join with us to help make a change.
By building a coalition of NGO’s funding will be more
readily available to do the work that needs to be done.
Community level volunteers will be a key element in the
success on every front.
If you are an NGO with interests in Civil and human rights
in the United States, or if you are an interested individual please join us.
NOTE: The principles of this coalition should be not to wage
war against every law enforcement officer and every official we come in contact
with, but rather develop a unified effort with law enforcement personnel and
officials to help weed out corruption and corruption, and to prevent the continued
deprecation of individual rights of
those in minority and distraught society level people.
